Fold filling
and lip augmentation
More and more simple injection
filling materials have been developed in recent
years and decades for enlarge narrow lips, to
make them more plumped and to smooth the smaller
or larger wrinkles on the face. The common feature
is the simple use, during a few minutes ambulance
action and an immediately spectacular result is
attainable. The side effects are minimal, complication
possibilities are negligible and post treatments
are not needed.
In our plastic surgery the following
hyaluron acid preparations are used for lip-,
or wrinkle filling: Teosyal, Matridex
and Esthélis. These filling materials
are offering only temporary results. Their effects
last for several months, then the treatment has
to be repeated. None of them contains artificial
ingredients.
Hyaluron acid
is one of the healthy skin appearing constituents
in large quantity. Binds water in the skin ensuring
its tightness, hydrations and natural flexibility.
The hyaluron acid concentration by ageing is decreasing,
commences the skin ageing process, the signs amongst
other is wrinkle development and the inflexible
skin.
Teosyal: a modern
and secure Swiss wrinkle filling material, its
constituent is hyaluron acid. Amongst the filling
materials that are for sale in Hungary, bears
the highest hyaluron acid concentration. The material
is secure, is efficient and has durable results.
By time it entirely breaks down and is absorbed.
Throughout the treatment it can be repeated many
times and correctable. It has no animal origin,
thus prior to the preparation intake, there is
no need for an allergy test.
Matridex: Its
major constituent is hyaluron acid. The Matridex
supplements the decreasing hyaluron acid in the
skin and through this way returns the skin youngish
tightness and flexibility. Since in the Matridex
found hyaluron acid is not animal originated,
for the patient there is no health hazard and
an allergic reaction shouldn’t occur. This means,
that no preceding skin test is necessary. Matridex
can treat all deep wrinkles found on the face.
Additionally the preparation is also suitable
for making the lip more plumped.
Esthélis: wrinkle
filling, with a hyaluron acid jelly. It is of
natural origin and entirely breaking down utterly
tissue, it is a friendly material and therefore
the development of the allergy and other known
side - effects is minimal. Esthélis is particularly
flexible, so there is no fear of the clotting
of the filling material. It is equally appropriate
for women and man patients to meet their demands
thoroughly. The material is usable either for
wrinkle filling or lip broadening.
In our plastic surgery we are
not using durable, decades lasting preparations,
like e.g. artecoll, dermalive, aquamid,
outline, since the face is changing by
the age. The wrinkles being rearranged and the
today given preparations final effect decades
after would show disadvantageous presence. The
swollen lips could be attractive and favourable
between the age group of 20 - 30 . However, decades
later it could become grotesque or even ludicrous.
From this point of view , the absorbing materials,
even specifically the more expensive ones, are
more advantageous, since the treatment always
adjusts to the actual condition of face.
The above materials are shot
in with a very thin needle into the treatable
skin. Should the skin area need pre anaesthesia,
then 15 - 30 minutes preceding the treatment is
executed by an anaesthetic cream. With this a
60 - 70% anaesthesia can be reached. Before lip
filling anaesthetic injection can be applied.
Depending on the treated area it takes 10 - 40
minutes. The effect is immediate, except at lip
augmentation, where the result is only visible
after one week, until then slight unevenness can
occur on the lips.
Complications:
- Allergic reaction (skin inflammation, local
bums, skin redness, sensitivity): usually per
thousand probability, following the treatment,
disappears within 12 - 48 hours.
- At the place of the material , a touchable
clot develops: occurs only in several percent
- The material absorbed much earlier than expected,
due to individual constitutional connective
tissue feature. (rare)
- The needle prick can cause herpes, especially
if the patient had it previously.
- Aspirin or similar effecting medicines intake,
could cause bleeding and haemorrhage on the
injected area.
Following the treatment usually requested
to comply with:
For two days do not touch or
press the treated area. Following lip filling
or around lip treatment neglect much speaking
(e.g. lecture) or laughing.
After a day you can wash cautiously the treated
areas even with soap, and make up can also be
applied.
Until the initial swelling and skin flush is not
diminishing entirely, the area is not allowed
to expose to strong heat effect (sunbathing, solarium,
extreme cold)
After lip augmentation do not make steady lip
contour by cosmetician or tattooing at least for
one month .
The treatment isn’t recommended
in the following cases:
- In certain cases, if the patient is allergic
to lidocain
- An existing dermatological illness or herpes
- An severe allergy
- For those, who are suffering of autoimmune
illness
- When taking blood coagulative preaparations
(Aspirin, Heparin, Sincumar).
